How do you currently apply this strategy, with or without the use of technology?
I use cue and questions a lot right now in my classes. To begin with, in Marketing, I have to make sure to relate the concepts to what the students are seeing and experiencing everyday. So much of their lives involves Marketing and they just do not know how to recognize it. When I start to draw from what they already know, it helps the concepts to come together. The funniest example this week was we were working on a unit in Travel Marketing and the terms Hostels came up. Aside from the movie, the students had no concept of this so I began to try and make a mental picture for them. All of a suddent a student said, "I GOT IT, it is like a Holiday Inn". At that point I realized my cues were not quite on and we started over. They finally have it now.
In Graphics I do a lot of questioning with the classes because I need to reinforce the new things they are learning. I also use questions so that I am not doing it for them. Other they will say that the program is not working but when questioned, they are not even sure of where they are in the process let alone what they should have been doing. Questions help them to think through the process.
What new insights or ideas did you gain from the reading?
I have to use more questions, often I am so ready for them to work on the next project that I present the needed information and then the project and I move from group to group, working with them as needed. I need to stop and take the time to work with them as a class to get the previous knowledge they have because as a whole they will think of things and remember things better and will be able to help one another.

How might you use this tool in your classroom?
I think this is a great tool and would work great as students are working through large projects. They can post questions and help other students get the answers they need without always have to ask me. With the information all in one place, it will make a great reference tool.
For Graphic Design, it could make almost like a cheat sheet for the things the students use on a daily basis but sometimes forget.
I do think that if I was going to use it on a regular basis, I would have to purchase the teacher package to get the document uploads and the other extras!!!!
